Day 1 - Fly from the UK to Philadelphia

Day 2-4 Discover Philadelphia
Philadelphia is home to one of the largest urban park systems in the nation, with over 100 parks, squares, and recreation sites totalling over 10,000 acres. One of the city’s key highlights is Fairmont Park with its horticultural centre, abundance of walking, biking and hiking trails as well as several museums and historic mansions.

You don’t have to visit a museum to see some of the city’s history – in William Penn’s original plan for the city of Philadelphia, he envisioned five squares stationed evenly throughout the city’s grid-like system of streets. Now four of these squares — Rittenhouse, Franklin, Washington, and Logan — serve as recreation and community spaces, each with their own unique features. The fifth square, Centre Square, is where you will now find Philadelphia’s historic City Hall.
If you are travelling during the annual Philadelphia Flower Show, this is a must for everyone! Make sure to get your tickets in advance to guarantee your entrance.

Day 5 - Collect your hire car and head out into the Countryside, approx. 25 miles
Explore the over 3,400 acres of Valley Forge National Historical Park – once home to General George Washington’s encampment during the Revolutionary War, as well as any number of hiking and biking trails in the area.
Longwood Gardens is also a must – this sprawling botanical garden complete with lush conservatories and beautiful fountains, a peaceful haven after your stay in the city. The gardens host an annual orchid exhibition in the four acre conservatory, which draws visitors from near and far.
Stay two nights in Valley Forge

Day 7 - Return home
Time to do some tax free shopping at the King Of Prussia Mall, the largest retail shopping complex on the East Coast before driving to the airport to drop off your car in time for your flight to the UK.
