Day 1- Fly from the UK to Denver
Collect your car and drive to your hotel where you will spend two nights. Denver is known as the Mile High City - visit the State Capitol Building where you will find the marker that shows you exactly one mile above sea level! Denver has a diverse range of attractions, museums, arts and entertainment and shopping. After all that why not experience the nightlife of LoDo (Lower Downtown Denver), a 26-square block of bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

Day 2- At leisure to enjoy more of this exciting city
Thrill seekers could try the city’s Six Flags theme park. Alternatively venture just outside the city to the stunning Red Rock Park and Amphitheatre.

Day 3- Denver to Estes Park, approx, 70 miles
Estes Park is the base camp for amazing adventures in Rocky Mountain National Park. Enjoy guided activities like fly fishing, horseback riding, or white water river rafting, or explore on your own with a scenic drive over the Continental Divide on Trail Ridge Road, or a hike to a spectacular mountain lake. Stay for one night at Estes Park.

Day 4- Estes Park to Steamboat Springs, approx. 138 miles
As you drive through the Rocky Mountain National Park today, you will be using the Trail Ridge Road and passing beautiful mountain scenery on the highest continuous paved road in North America, at over 3600 metres. A ski resort in winter but during the spring and summer there are endless opportunities in Steamboat Springs. There are plenty of restaurants, shopping, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding to explore. Relax with a round of golf at one of four local courses, fish a mountain stream, reward yourself with a spa treatment, or soak your cares away in our natural hot springs, for which the town was named. Stay for one night in Steamboat Springs.

Day 5- Steamboat Springs to Snowmass/Aspen, approx. 156 miles
If you think Aspen/Snowmass is inviting in winter, you should see what summer looks like. Knee-deep powder is replaced by knee-deep wildflowers, and the mood around town shifts from the intimate coziness of winter to the anything-is-possible activity of summer. There is hiking, mountain biking, golf, charming shops and an extensive number of restaurants to choose from. Stay for two nights in Snowmass/Aspen.

Day 7- Snowmass/Aspen to Grand Junction, approx. 129 miles
Home to the Colorado National Monument, which has been called the Most Serene of all the National Parks and Monuments, Grand Junction also offers a wealth of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, float trips on the Colorado River, kayaking and golf not to mention countless spas to choose from. Visit the Little Book Cliffs Wild Horse Area, which is one of only three wild horse reserves in the nation set aside specifically to protect wild and free-roaming horses. Over a hundred wild horses who roam the rugged landscape. Stay for two nights in the Grand Junction area.

Day 8
The Grand Junction area offers a number of wineries for you to enjoy. Pick up a map of the wineries and spend the day touring the dozen or so properties along the Colorado River. All offer tours and have tasting rooms and the winemakers are more than happy to discuss their trade with any visitors.

Day 9- Grand Junction to Telluride, approx. 128 miles
There are endless adventures to be had in the summer in Telluride. From hiking, mountain biking, and climbing, to the world renowned summer festivals, there is truly something for everyone. The town has a thriving arts community, book stores and coffee shops as well as fantastic scenery, a film festival every year and great skiing in the winter. Stay for one night in Telluride.

Day 10- Telluride to Mesa Verde National Park, approx. 97 miles
This stop will be one of the most memorable as you spend the day visiting the Mesa Verde National Park. The cliff dwellings here were built by Ancestral Publoans between 800 and 1000 years ago. These are among the oldest buildings you can visit in North America. On a clear day you can see over 100 miles into New Mexico. Stay for one night in the park or in nearby Cortez.

Day 11- Mesa Verde National Park to Durango, approx. 48 miles
Travel to the gold and silver mining community of Durango. Relax in the hot springs in Durango or Pagosa Springs, try river rafting, jeep touring or mountain biking. Spend two nights in Durango.

Day 12
Take the famous Durango to Silverton Narrow Gauge Railway journey today. We recommend that you take the train in the morning, following the Los Alamos River north through the beautiful San Juan Mountains to the historic mining town of Silverton. Although the mines are no longer in operation, the journey is truly spectacular. You can either return to Durango by train or bus. As an alternative to the full journey you can take the early morning train from Durango as far as Tall Timbers Resort to experience one of Colorado’s newest attractions, Soaring Tree Top Adventures. Here you can soar through the three-century old Ponderosa pine trees from platform to platform along zip line cables.

Day 13- Durango to Alamosa, approx. 150 miles
Alamosa is home to the newest National Park in the USA - Great Sand Dunes National Park - where you can hike and picnic on North America’s tallest dunes. Overnight for one night in Alamosa.

Day 14- Alamosa to Colorado Springs, approx. 167 miles
On your way pass through Canon City and stop to take a ride on the Royal Gorge Scenic Railway, or tour the Royal Gorge Attraction where you can walk across the world’s highest suspension bridge and even bungee out over the canyon where you will swing over 300 metres above the Arkansas River. Arrive in Colorado Springs, visit the Garden of the Gods, considered to be the Most Beautiful City Park in the USA, and walk amongst the huge red rocks with Pikes Peak as a background. Stay for two nights in Colorado Springs.

Day 15
Travel around Pikes Peak to visit the historic mining community of Cripple Creek, where you can tour the Molly Kathleen Mine (over 300 metres under the surface), one of the deepest tourist attractions anywhere. Discover that this was once one of the richest mining communities on the face of the earth, with many mines in the area pulling out millions of Dollars worth of gold. Hike to the top of Seven Falls, with magnificent views over Colorado Springs and the plains beyond, or for the less energetic, take the lift up the 14 storey height to the Eagles Nest for the best views! Explore the many bike paths in the downtown area, visit one of the museums or shop in the many boutiques and galleries.

Day 16- Colorado Springs to Denver, approx.. 72 miles
Return to Denver in time for your flight back to the UK
