Hotel Villa Grunewald is where Elvis actually lived for a number of months during his military service, and much of the hotel remains exactly as it was when he was there. You will be shown the very room Elvis stayed in, which is still furnished as it was during his time at the hotel.

27 November

You will be shown dozens of Elvis sights, including where Elvis lived, shopped and socialised, as well as some of the locations where his most famous photographs were taken during his military service. There will also be the opportunity to see the stunning Elvis in Bronze statue. You’ll have the chance to discover the many bars, restaurants, shops and cafés that this beautiful little town has to offer, with plenty of time for independent exploration.

28 November

This morning, you will travel by train to Frankfurt. Frankfurt boasts one of the oldest and biggest Christmas Markets in the whole of Germany. There will be plenty of time to shop, explore and sample some of the city’s food and drink. There are also plenty of fascinating places to visit, and you may even wish to take a sightseeing river cruise.

29 November
Explore the fantastic Christmas Market in Rüdesheim. This is a great place to pick up unique gifts for friends and family, or simply something special for yourself, as well as trying an array of great German food and drink. Rüdesheim is a picturesque town, with quaint cobbled streets filled with shops and cafés. You’ll also have the opportunity to ride the iconic cable car, as seen in G.I. Blues. Along the way, you will see more sights connected with Elvis and his 1960 big-screen outing.

30 November

En route, you will call into the quaint village of Steinfurth, known mainly for its rose growing. The village also has an Elvis connection, as this was where Elvis and members of his platoon helped erect a war memorial. You will also see the now-closed Ray Barracks in Friedberg, before stopping in the town of Bad Homburg to see the former Ritters Park Hotel. Elvis stayed at the hotel in October 1958, and it was the setting for some iconic photographs of Elvis with local fans.
