Day 1- Arrive in Louisville. 
Famously known as the home of the Kentucky Derby, a visit to the Churchill Downs race course and Kentucky Derby Museum is a must. Kentucky’s largest city is also home to the Louisville Slugger Museum, where you will experience the thrill of stepping up to the plate and hearing great announcers call some of the most memorable hits in baseball. What is more part of America’s culture than Kentucky Fried Chicken? The Louisville Visitors Center has partnered with KFC and offers an interesting exhibit on Colonel Harland Sanders and how he turned his ‘secret recipe’ chicken into a global franchise. The Mohammad Ali Center is an inspiring tribute to world famous boxing legend. There are numerous bars and restaurants, as well as river cruises. Spend two nights in Louisville.

Day 3- Drive to Rough River Dam State Park, 95 miles, where you will overnight for one night. 
This famous park is set in beautiful countryside with a 5,000 acre lake, boating, golfing, fishing, tennis and walking and hiking trails.

Day 4- Head to Bardstown today, 75 miles. 
You can Mammoth Cave National Park, a geological wonder, or the Corvette Museum, where you can see the step by step production of the famous Corvette sports car. Bardstown is the location of My Old Kentucky Home, which was made famous in the ballad written by Stephen Foster and where you can tour the stately, antebellum mansion. Stay one night in Bardstown.

Day 5- Continue your journey to Renfro Valley, 80 miles, in the heart of the Appalachian region. 
Visit the unique community of Berea, designated the Folk Arts and Crafts Capital of Kentucky and in the evening take in the show at the Renfro Valley Entertainment Center, where traditional country music was first broadcast by John Lair in 1939.

Day 6- End your tour in Lexington, 50 miles, in the centre of the Bluegrass region. 
Take a tour of the Labrot and Graham Distillery, which has been restored to its original 1840’s operating condition. Don’t miss a visit to the Kentucky Horse Park, set on over 1000 acres, with a Hall of Champions and a daily Parade of Breeds. Visitors can also take a short horse ride through the park. Spend your final two nights in Lexington.
