This Pacific Northwest adventure blends iconic natural landscapes with cultural and culinary experiences, travelling from Seattle through Washington’s national parks and down the dramatic Oregon Coast to the heart of wine country and Portland. This exclusive small group tour will explore highlights including Mount Rainier, Olympic National Park, Crater Lake, the Columbia River Gorge and the Willamette Valley. Along the way, you will enjoy guided hikes, scenic drives, coastal towns, wine tastings and historic landmarks.

Day 1 Arrive Seattle and transfer to your hotel
Arrive in Seattle and check into your hotel. Take some time to settle in and familiarise yourself with the city. If time allows, enjoy a stroll along the waterfront or explore some of Seattle’s iconic neighbourhoods. The evening is at leisure to relax or enjoy a casual dinner in the city.

Stay three nights at the Thompson Hotel, Seattle.

Day 2 Seattle
Meet your guide and the rest of the group. Visit Pike Place Market on a guided walking tour, sampling regional specialities while learning about its history. Stroll past colourful stalls, watch the famous fishmongers in action, and enjoy lunch at leisure. In the evening, dine at Chihuly Garden and Glass, surrounded by striking glass installations and garden views, offering a truly immersive start to your adventure.

Day 3 Seattle to Mount Rainier National Park
As you travel south from Seattle, Mount Rainier gradually comes into view above forests and winding roads. Stretch your legs on well maintained trails through alpine meadows, waterfalls and snowfields, all set against the mountain’s dramatic backdrop. Stop at Myrtle Falls for a classic photo opportunity, and keep an eye out for wildlife such as deer or marmots. Whether you choose a gentle stroll or a longer hike, the park’s trails offer breathtaking views and a memorable introduction to the Pacific Northwest wilderness.

Day 4 Mount Rainier National Park to the Olympic Peninsula
You will travel north towards Port Townsend, a town known for its Victorian architecture and independent shops. Take time to explore the historic streets, galleries and local cafes. Continue to Lake Crescent for a peaceful walk along the clear blue water, surrounded by forest. Later, visit Ruby Beach, with its driftwood-strewn shoreline and views of Destruction Island, a perfect spot to enjoy the sound of the Pacific waves.

Stay two nights at the Lake Quinault Lodge, Olympic National Park.

Day 5 Olympic Peninsula to Hoh Rainforest
You will journey deeper into Olympic National Park to explore the Hoh Rainforest. Well-marked trails lead through towering moss-draped trees and lush undergrowth, offering a chance to experience one of the most famous temperate rainforests in the United States. Listen for birds and wildlife along the paths, and take your time to appreciate the dense, green canopy overhead. 

Day 6 Hoh Rainforest to the Oregon Coast
Travel south to Astoria, where history and river views meet small-town charm. Walk through the historic streets and visit local shops and galleries, stopping at the Columbia River Maritime Museum to learn about the region’s maritime past. Explore Fort Clatsop, where Lewis and Clark spent the winter of 1805 to 1806. Later, continue to Cannon Beach, enjoying the coastal scenery, sandy beaches and boutique shops along the way. 

Stay overnight at the Surfsand Resort, Cannon Beach.

Day 7 Oregon Coast
Begin with a visit to the Tillamook Cheese Factory for a guided tour and tastings of its renowned products. Continue along the coast to Cape Kiwanda, known for its rugged cliffs, sandy beaches and panoramic ocean views. Watch for seabirds and, depending on the season, migrating whales. The Oregon Coast offers dramatic scenery and a refreshing experience at every turn.

Stay overnight at the Salishan Coastal Lodge, Gleneden Beach. 

Day 8 Oregon Coast to Willamette Valley
You will be travelling inland to the Willamette Valley for a day of wine tasting. Start at Abbey Road Farm, sampling Pinot Noir and Chardonnay while taking in the vineyard views. Continue to Domaine Willamette, known for its traditional method sparkling wines and biodynamically farmed vineyards. Enjoy the relaxed tasting experience and learn about the region’s winemaking traditions.

Day 9 Willamette Valley to Central Oregon
You will Visit Silver Falls State Park to explore forest trails and scenic waterfalls. Continue to The Oregon Garden in Silverton, featuring themed gardens, a guided tram tour and interactive areas such as the Children’s Garden. Travel onwards to Sisters, a charming town in the Cascade Mountains, where the surrounding landscape offers outdoor activities and peaceful scenery.

Stay two nights at the Oxford Hotel, Bend. 

Day 10 Central Oregon to Crater Lake
You will begin with the High Desert Museum, exploring the cultural and natural heritage of the region. Travel to Crater Lake National Park, home to the United States’ deepest lake. Stop at scenic viewpoints along the rim, taking short walks to appreciate the volcanic landscape. The lake’s deep blue water and surrounding cliffs make this an unforgettable location for photography and reflection.

Day 11 Crater Lake to Mount Hood
You will visit Smith Rock State Park with its dramatic cliffs and network of hiking trails. Continue to Hood River Valley to explore Packer Orchard and Farm Place, sampling seasonal produce and learning about local agricultural traditions. The valley’s scenery and orchards provide a relaxing and photogenic stop before heading towards Mount Hood.

Day 12 Mount Hood to Columbia Gorge
Today you will be driving along the Columbia River Gorge, stopping at viewpoints and waterfalls along the way. Take a cruise on the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler to experience the Gorge from the river. Visit Bonneville Dam to learn about hydroelectric power and salmon migration, then walk to Multnomah Falls for a view of the 620-foot waterfall, an iconic natural landmark in Oregon.

Day 13 Columbia Gorge to Portland
Arrive in Portland and explore Pioneer Courthouse Square, Voodoo Doughnut and Powell’s City of Books. Visit the Portland Art Museum, Forest Park and the International Rose Test Garden. Conclude the day at Pittock Mansion for panoramic views of the city, followed by a farewell dinner at Huber’s Restaurant, enjoying classic Northwest cuisine in a historic setting.

Stay overnight at the Nines Hotel, Portland. 

Day 14 Departure
Check out of your hotel and head to the airport.
