 I’ll Take You There brings together UK and US voices to explore how Alabama’s music shaped the world - and how its civil rights history continues to inspire new generations of creators. The film is presented free-to-air and on-demand as an evergreen cultural resource for audiences, educators, travel partners and music lovers worldwide.

I’ll Take You There is a transatlantic music documentary that not only looks back at Alabama’s powerful musical and civil rights heritage, but also looks forward - exploring how this legacy continues to shape the present and future. The film highlights the influence Alabama has had on today’s labels, artists and venues, and how new generations continue to draw inspiration from its extraordinary past.

Presented in collaboration with Visit the USA, Sweet Home Alabama, Americana Music Association, Northern Cowboy Films and The Romano Sidoli Consultancy.
